Nikishia Garrett’s California-based business, Samson7arts, creates unique Ankara fashion designs using vibrant fabrics sourced from Nigeria. Inspired by her seamstress mom, Nikishia found joy in creating her own designs and letting her creativity shine.
Through a social media ad, Nikishia discovered the EforAll Business Accelerator program and decided to apply, hoping to gain exposure and business management skills. Despite having experience in fashion, she lacked the know-how to run a business effectively. She really liked the fact that the whole program was online, saying: “The flexibility was amazing and gave me the space to do other things while the homework kept me accountable.”
The mentors were the highlight for her, offering personalized advice and helping her navigate the entrepreneurial landscape with confidence. “The one-on-one support I received was instrumental in helping me grow personally and professionally,” said Nikishia.
Since graduating from the program, she has expanded her business significantly, increasing her email contacts and social media engagement.
