LONGMONT, CO. July 28, 2022  — Techstars has selected EforAl) Longmont as one of four nonprofit organizations to join its Accelerate Equity program for July – September 2022. The goal of the partnership is to amplify the impact of EforAll Longmont by leveraging the Techstars network of mentors, donors, and resources. This partnership enables Techstars Foundation to further its mission to invest in empowering underestimated entrepreneurs throughout the region.

From July 1st through September 30th, The Techstars Foundation is raising funds on behalf of EforAll Longmont. At the end of the quarter, the foundation will match 20% of all funds raised to directly support EforAll entrepreneurs in Colorado. As a participant in the Accelerate Equity program, EforAll Longmont entrepreneurs and leadership have access to the Techstars global mentor network and a plethora of resources to support accelerator program participants and alumni.

Seth Levine, successful venture capitalist and Co-Author of “The New Builders,” is the Board Chairman and nominating donor of EforAll Longmont. According to Seth, “Entrepreneurship in the United States is increasingly diverse, reflecting the country as a whole, but our system to support diverse entrepreneurs is lagging. EforAll plays such a critical role in helping foster the next generation of entrepreneurs in our community.”

Caroline Hafele, Executive Director of EforAll Longmont, adds, “We are honored to participate in Techstars Foundation’s Accelerate Equity program. This partnership directly supports our work to remove barriers to business ownership, and by doing so actively builds a more inclusive entrepreneurial community throughout our region.”

Since EforAll Longmont launched in 2019, 55 new local businesses have graduated from a Business Accelerator program in the area; 75% are female-owned, 66% are BIPOC-owned, and 54% are immigrant-owned. And in 2021, EforAll launched its Spanish language accelerator program, EparaTodos Longmont, to better serve the local Hispanic small business community.
