Brian Ruhlmann’s journey into the world of hot sauce began unexpectedly. After crafting his first batch of hot sauce in Ireland using ghost peppers from his parents’ garden, he became hooked. What started as a fun, personal project quickly evolved into something bigger. In 2017, he moved back to the U.S. and launched Craic Sauce, named after the Irish word for good fun.
When Brian joined the EforAll Business Accelerator, he was already getting buzz for his hot sauce but knew he needed a stronger foundation. He appreciated the connections and noted that being surrounded by other entrepreneurs facing similar challenges helped him better understand his own business. “At first, I didn’t fully recognize the value I brought to my customers, but through EforAll’s exercises and discussions, I was able to refine my strategy and grow my brand,” he recalls.
Since graduating, Craic Sauce has tripled its revenues, hired additional employees, and expanded its presence in retail and food establishments. In fact, Craic Sauce is now available in over 150 retail locations throughout Massachusetts. “EforAll helped me build the network and structure I needed to take my business to the next level,” Brian shared.
