Pooja Vishal inherited her cooking skills from her mother, who always pampered her and her father with delicious and nutritious meals. After her mom passed away, Pooja felt the urge to continue her legacy and created a healthy and easy-to-cook meal kit or “curry in a hurry.” With her venture Urban Spice World, Pooja hopes to make cooking easy and bring families together.

She was selling her kits at farmer’s markets and first heard of EforAll from another vendor. As an early-stage entrepreneur, she felt she needed guidance and mentorship, so she decided to apply for the Winter 2021 Business Accelerator in Great Worcester

According to her, the classes on identifying your customer target and “back of the envelope” financials were game-changers and helped her get more focused and streamline her daily operations. But her favorite part of the program was the mentor support. She says, “They have been the best part of the overall EforAll experience. They have gone an extra mile to guide and support us.”

After graduating from EforAll, sales have increased by 60%, and she’ll hire another employee for the upcoming season. Pooja recommends EforAll to anyone planning to open a small business and says, “EforAll has all the necessary resources to prepare us to be  better entrepreneurs!”
