Women in Sustainability, founded by Becky Migas, is an inclusive nonprofit organization that brings together women and allies passionate about environmental sustainability to connect, learn, and collaborate to fight climate change and social injustice through education and advocacy.

Becky had applied for the Summer 2020 Longmont Business Accelerator with a slightly different idea: producing sustainable events. The pandemic put an end to that idea, and with the support of her mentors and the cohort, Becky could quickly pivot. “The program and my mentors taught me that it is ok to ask for help. They helped me get organized and work on a new business strategy,” said Becky.

Today, Women in Sustainability has their 501c3 nonprofit certification, has added five board members so far, and it has over 150 paying members. But the biggest success, in Becky’s opinion, is that she feels much more confident being a leader in the nonprofit space. She says, “What sets EforAll apart from other organizations is that it teaches you how to run your nonprofit effectively to maximize your community impact.”
