Nearly 150 people packed Coffee and Cotton last Thursday, February 22, 2018 to cheer on over a dozen entrepreneurs, as they showcased their business ideas at the first ever #ShopLocal Pitch Contest in partnership with Mill No. 5 sponsored by Santander Consumer USA. EforAll Lowell-Lawrence hosts Pitch Contests as a way to celebrate entrepreneurship and encourage the entrepreneurs to share business ideas. Think Shark Tank, without the bite. Often seen as a male dominated space, women swept the prizes from fan favorite to first place. The awards are determined by a panel of judges that included community leaders, successful entrepreneurs and sponsor Santander Bank:

Fan Favorite: The Chameleon Room wins $500
The Chameleon Room is an ever-changing, educational play space for children. A storefront will be re-imagined around an interactive theme and complimentary programming for children ages 2-10 that will change quarterly. Each new theme will include activities that engage children in dramatic play, science, math, reading/writing and art.
Third Place: The Dandelion District wins $500
The Dandelion District began in May of 2017 and spreads a sense of community, self-love and body positivity using the power of sustainable thrift and vintage fashion.
