First All Women Winners at EforAll South Coast’s Fall River Pitch Contest!
At the Fall River VFW on Wednesday, April 5th, EforAll South Coast held a Pitch Contest showcasing ideas from all aspects of businesses in the South Coast region. Twelve different entrepreneurs came to show off their businesses, ranging from a balloon photobooth, to marijuana impairment detection. Seven of the business, were preselected to give a two-and-a-half minute pitch for cash prizes. There was an additional presenter chosen that night as a “wild card”. Judges listening to each pitch, scored based on the clarity of the idea and presentation of the entrepreneur. The presenters were asked to focus on the following questions: what was the opportunity that led to the idea, who is the customer/market, how will it be sustainable as a business or non-profit, and how will the prize money be used. The judges included Catherine Dillon from Bank Five, Chris Antao of Gnome Create, Raena Camacho of Mother Nature Hydroponics, and Peter Karlson from Neu Eon.
