Picturing a Great Future for this Startup
Magic Mirror Cape Cod, founded by Donna Devine, offers photo booth rental services for private and corporate events, including weddings. The idea to start her business came to her during a challenging time while living in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was determined to find a business idea that would allow her to return home to Cape Cod. With bravery and determination, she purchased her first photo booth and began her entrepreneurial journey.
She applied for the EforAll Cape Cod Fall 2022 Business Accelerator with a clear goal: to become financially independent, noting, “I just wanted never to worry about working for someone again.”
She enjoyed learning how to pitch her business and meeting with her fellow entrepreneurs every week. However, what truly stood out for her was the invaluable support and encouragement she received from her mentors.
Donna’s perseverance has really paid off. She runs roughly two events per week and was able to buy an additional photo booth. Magic Mirror has been featured in a story by Cape & Plymouth Business Media, which led to a partnership to do all their corporate events. She received two grants that will assist in advertising and acquiring a third photo booth.
