Nonprofit Business Accelerator Expanding to Include New Spanish Language Programs in Longmont
Longmont, CO – August 18, 2020 – Recognizing the importance of entrepreneurship to economic growth and job creation in diverse communities hit hard by the COVID-19 crisis, the nonprofit Entrepreneurship for All (EforAll) announced today that it is launching a new Spanish accelerator program, EparaTodos, in Longmont in early 2021 as well as hosting its first ever Spanish language Pitch Contest in October 22nd.
Starting in January 2021, two EparaTodos Accelerator programs will be available each year in Longmont in addition to the two English programs already being offered each year. The free, 12-month Business Accelerators will provide Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs with the skills, support, and access to professional networks necessary to launch and grow a successful business or nonprofit.
Applications for both the English and Spanish programs, which will be delivered virtually due to COVID-19, are due on November 9th with classes scheduled to begin in January 2021. If you’re interested in applying to either the English or Spanish Accelerator or learning more about the program, please visit eforall.org. Interested Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs can apply to the October 22nd Spanish-language Pitch Contest here.
“There is a tremendous amount of entrepreneurial talent in our local Hispanic and Latino communities that are facing tremendous economic challenges as a result of the COVID-19 crisis,” said Harris Rollinger, Executive Director of EforAll/EparaTodos in Longmont. “By launching this proven program here in Colorado, we’ll be able to help individuals start successful businesses and nonprofits that address a real need and create local jobs – without language serving as a barrier.”
EparaTodos’ proven approach helps under-resourced individuals successfully start and grow their businesses or nonprofits, across a wide range of industries including personal and professional services, food, manufacturing and online/traditional retail. The program offers a unique combination of immersive business training, dedicated mentorship and access to a professional network. Each entrepreneur has the opportunity to win seed money each quarter.
EparaTodos also holds Spanish-language pitch contests that are open to everyone and offer an opportunity to validate a business idea, win cash prizes, network with local business owners and meet potential customers.
