A historic entrepreneurial showcase is planned for Thursday, Jan. 10, at Barnstable Municipal Airport, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Ten Cape Cod entrepreneurs will celebrate the culmination of a 12-week intensive Entrepreneurship for All (EforAll) accelerator program. The public is invited to attend this free event, hosted by Cape Cod Coffee.
After much success in other parts of the state, EforAll expanded its operations and launched a Cape Cod-based business accelerator program in July.
At the showcase, the inaugural class of 10 entrepreneurs will present their products and services. Dan Wolf, CEO of Cape Air, will be the keynote speaker.
When it was founded in 1989, Cape Air had one route, eight employees and about 8,000 passengers. Today, it employs more than 700 people and serves more than 600,000 passengers every year.
Wolf also served as a State Senator from 2011-2016, where he was appointed as Chairman of the Committee on Labor and Workplace Development for each of his three terms in office.
“I look forward to meeting and hearing from the next generation of entrepreneurs on Cape Cod,” Wolf said in a Jan. 2 statement.
Amanda Kaiser, program manager for EforAll Cape Cod, said Wolf exemplifies “the entrepreneurial spirit that is so integral to the economy of Cape Cod.”
EforAll Cape Cod also will award seed money to several of the graduating entrepreneurs to help them launch their businesses in the community.
Entrepreneurs have the opportunity to be awarded up to $5,000, with opportunities for additional cash prizes over the next nine months.
