Her Hobby Became a Successful Business
Lisa Petrizzi-Geller’s business began as a distraction. During a break from cancer treatments, she started making cake pops at home after watching online tutorials. At the time, she was a real estate agent but decided to try her hand at baking and opened Pop Culture.
She learned about the South Coast Business Accelerator from a friend and saw it as a chance to get her business out of her home and into a commercial facility. “I knew it would be a good experience, and it would force me to do things out of my comfort zone,” she said.
In 2022, Lisa reached her goal of opening a storefront. Established in Fall River, MA, Pop Culture sells delectable cake pops, cookies, and other treats. Orders have been steadily growing, and Lisa couldn’t be happier.
