Esta empresa da prioridad a los niños
A Johanna Rivera Colón siempre le ha gustado estar rodeada de niños, y a principios de 2022 decidió perseguir su sueño de abrir una guardería en Holyoke, MA. Future Dreamers Daycare se propone brindar cuidado y educación a niños desde 3 meses a 5 años.
Su hermano, antiguo alumno de EparaTodos, le habló del acelerador de empresas de Holyoke y le aconsejó que presentase su idea. «Necesitaba saber dónde conseguir el apoyo necesario para abrir mi negocio», dice Johanna. Estaba deseando aprender a gestionar, registrar y oficializar su negocio recién abierto.
Con el apoyo de sus mentores y todo lo aprendido durante las clases, registró con éxito su negocio, consiguió ayudas públicas y donaciones para comprar materiales y así estructurar la guardería. Su parte favorita del programa fue conocer a sus compañeros emprendedores de la cohorte y el apoyo del equipo de EparaTodos Holyoke. «Me dieron ideas y siempre estuvieron ahí para ayudarme cuando tenía alguna duda», recuerda Johanna.
Desde que se graduó en el programa, Future Dreamers ha duplicado el número de niños inscritos. Johanna está entusiasmada por llegar a 2023 y trabajar con aún más niños. Según ella, «EparaTodos fue mi impulso educativo y mi motivación para perseguir mi sueño y montar un negocio.»

Her brother, an EparaTodos alumni, told her about the Holyoke Business Accelerator and suggested she apply. “I needed to know where to get the support needed to open my business,” said Johanna. She was looking forward to learning how to manage, register, and make her recently opened business official.
With the support of her mentors and everything she learned during classes, she successfully registered her business, got grants and donations to buy materials, and structured the daycare. Her favorite part of the program was meeting her fellow entrepreneurs from the cohort and the support from the EparaTodos Holyoke team. “They gave me ideas and were always there for me, at any time, to help me whenever I had a question,” recalls Johanna.
Since graduating from the program, Future Dreames has doubled the number of kids enrolled. Johanna is looking forward to 2023 and working with even more kids. She says, “EparaTodos was my educational impetus and motivation for chasing my dream and starting a business.”
