El Éxito es Dulce para esta Nueva Empresaria
Sara y su esposo nunca han podido encontrar alfajores y obleas tan sabrosos como los de su Colombia natal. Durante la pandemia, vieron la oportunidad de crear un negocio en torno a esta pequeña delicia, ya que su esposo había perdido su trabajo. Compraron los ingredientes, probaron algunas recetas y empezaron a vender sus productos por Internet. Así nació La Dulce Vaca.
Sara se dio cuenta rápidamente de que sus conocimientos empresariales estaban muy por debajo de lo que necesitaba. “Mucha gente piensa que para montar un negocio, simplemente se lanza una página web y ya está, pero en realidad, hay que aprender mucho más”, dice Sara. Fue entonces cuando se enteró del Acelerador de Negocios de EparaTodos Lynn.
La clase de contabilidad fue una de las más importantes para ella, ya que le ayudó a aprender a gestionar su negocio correctamente. El apoyo de sus mentores también fue esencial durante el programa: “Fueron personas maravillosas y nos ayudaron mucho. Gracias a ellos, estamos donde estamos”, dijo Sara.
Su parte favorita del programa fue la fuerte amistad que nació entre los empresarios y el equipo de EparaTodos. Siempre se ayudaban unos a otros y compartían información y conocimientos, convirtiéndose en una gran familia.
Desde que se graduó, las ventas de La Dulce Vaca han seguido creciendo más del 50% año tras año. Y Sara no puede estar más contenta. “EparaTodos nos ha ayudado a convertirnos en una verdadera empresa. Ha sido una experiencia muy enriquecedora”.

Sara Perez and her husband have never been able to find alfajores and obleas(a traditional South American pastry) as tasty as those in their native Colombia. During the pandemic, they saw a business opportunity to build a business around this tiny treat since her husband had lost his job. They bought the ingredients, tested some recipes, and started selling their products online. La Dulce Vaca was born.
Sara quickly realized that her business knowledge was far below what she needed. “Many people think that to set up a business, you just launch a website and that’s it, but in reality, you have to learn a lot more,” Sara says. That’s when she found out about the upcoming EparaTodos Lynn Business Accelerator.
The accounting class was one of the most important for her, as it helped her learn how to run her business properly. The support of her mentors was also essential during the program, “They were wonderful people and helped us a lot. Thanks to them, we are where we are,” said Sara.
Her favorite part of the program was the strong friendship born between the entrepreneurs and the EparaTodos team. They always helped each other and shared information and knowledge; becoming one big family.
Since graduating, La Dulce Vaca’s sales have continued to grow more than 50% year over year. And Sara couldn’t be happier. “EparaTodos has helped us become a real company. It was a very enriching experience”.
