Convirtiendo los Bocadillos en un Negocio Exitoso
La Casita de Chevere ofrece servicios de catering y bandejas personalizadas de mini sándwiches y bocadillos. Todo comenzó cuando Olga Troche y Miguel Chevere empezaron a hacer sándwiches para sus amigos. Les gustó tanto que los pedidos no dejaron de llegar, y así se dieron cuenta de que tenían un negocio entre manos.
Sin conocimientos empresariales, ya que Olga era abogada y Miguel cocinero, necesitaban ayuda y solicitaron al programa Acelerador de Negocios de Verano de Lawrence. “El programa era exactamente lo que necesitábamos. Aprender a organizar nuestro negocio, tener la tutoría y el apoyo contínuo”, dice Olga.
Hubo dos momentos en el programa de EparaTodos que fueron decisivos y transformadores para Olga y Miguel: Uno, la clase de Derecho; y el otro, el Lienzo del Modelo de Negocio. Olga recuerda que sus mentores fueron increíbles. Aunque el ritmo del acelerador era rápido, se tomaron el tiempo necesario para ayudarles y mantenerles en el camino para alcanzar los objetivos que se habían propuesto.
Cuando La Casita de Chevere empezó, trabajaban desde su casa y ganaban unos 10.000 dólares al mes. Hoy día, se han trasladado a una cocina comunitaria más grande y han ampliado su menú para incluir comidas para llevar, lo cual les ha ayudado a duplicar sus ingresos mensuales. “EparaTodos es el mejor canal para aprender a construir tu negocio, de cero a cien. Lo que no sabes, lo puedes preguntar, nadie te juzga ni te critica. Es una experiencia maravillosa”, dice Olga.

La Casita de Chevere offers catering services and customized trays of mini sandwiches and snacks. It all started when Olga Troche and Miguel Chevere started making sandwiches for their friends, who liked them so much that they began to place many orders and they realized they had a business on their hands.
With no business knowledge, although Olga was a lawyer and Miguel was a cook, they knew they needed help and applied to the Summer 2021 Business Accelerator in Lawrence. “The program was exactly what we needed. Learning how to organize our business, having the mentorship and ongoing support” says Olga.
There were two defining and transformative classroom moments for Olga and Miguel during the EparaTodos program: the Legal class and the Business Model Canvas. And Olga says their mentors were amazing. Although the accelerator was fast-paced, they took the time to help them and keep them on track to achieve the goals they set out to achieve.
When La Casita de Chevere started, they worked out of their home and made about $10,000 a month. They have moved to a larger communal kitchen and expanded their menu to include take-out meals which helped them double their monthly income. “EparaTodos is the best channel to learn how to build your business, from zero to one hundred. What you don’t know, you can ask, no one judges or criticizes you. It’s a wonderful experience,” said Olga.
