EforAll Appoints Former Program Manager to Lead Pilot Virtual Accelerator Program as Director

Amanda “Kai” Childs to oversee strategy, operations, entrepreneur and mentor recruitment

LOWELL, Mass. – Nov. 7, 2023 – Entrepreneurship for All (EforAll), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to accelerate economic and social impact through inclusive entrepreneurship, announces the appointment of Amanda “Kai” Childs, former EforAll Cape Cod Program Manager, to Program Director of its first fully virtual business accelerator program, piloting in Arizona, California and Texas in January 2024.

A seasoned operations and marketing professional with over 25 years of experience, Kai is well-versed in EforAll’s mission and processes, helping aspiring Cape Cod entrepreneurs turn their dreams into businesses for the past five years. She also worked with program and headquarters staff to ensure program quality and consistency. In her new role, Kai will be overseeing the Virtual Accelerator’s team, operations and growth plan, and oversee entrepreneur and mentor recruitment.

“Kai has been invaluable in our Cape community, building relationships and working closely with entrepreneurs, volunteers and local business leaders. She’s well equipped to lead the pilot program and we’re looking forward to seeing how she will continue to grow this initiative in the years to come,” said Meralis T. Hood, CEO at EforAll.

Since announcing the availability of its Virtual Accelerator in August 2023, EforAll has received nearly 200 applications, total, from interested participants across all three states for its English and Spanish-language cohort, EparaTodos. Each cohort will accept a total of 15 entrepreneurs from the collective states, which will be selected on November 27, and provide a team of up to three dedicated mentors to each entrepreneur. Participants will learn how to master critical early-stage business challenges while receiving access to an expanded professional network.

Available to the public at no-cost, the Virtual Accelerator is similar to EforAll’s existing community-based cohort model, offering a 12-week program that provides participants with immersive business training, mentorship and the opportunity to win seed money.

EforAll is currently seeking mentors based in Arizona, California and Texas to volunteer their time, professional knowledge and expertise to serve as a resource for an entrepreneur.
