After discovering line dancing in Houston, Angela Dickerson returned to it as a source of healing and connection while caring for her mother through Stage 4 breast cancer, having previously lost her father to cancer. This personal journey inspired the creation of Boston Rhythm Riders. The organization has since expanded beyond a personal outlet to promote health, culture, and community by offering line dance classes, workshops, and events throughout Boston.

Angela joined the EforAll Business Accelerator in Roxbury to strengthen the foundation behind her growing movement. Through access to EforAll’s training and mentorship, Angela refined her business model, explored new revenue opportunities, and developed strategies to scale programming and partnerships while maintaining the organization’s strong community focus. “As a result of EforAll, I gained the tools, mentorship, and confidence to expand Boston Rhythm Riders beyond classes and into larger cultural wellness events that bring movement, prevention, and community together,” Angela shared.

Boston Rhythm Riders has expanded its reach since graduation, offering classes to all ages in community centers, parks, and wellness programs across Boston. The organization will soon host the Rhythm & Remedy Cancer & Wellness Benefit Weekend, celebrating movement and community. Angela plans to further expand programming to more neighborhoods and build partnerships to make wellness and cultural connections accessible throughout Boston.
