A Truly Polished Business
Ramos Detailing is a family-owned business that offers a complete range of services, from high-quality hand washes and interior detailing to ceramic and glass coating. Jose Ramos had always been the one in his family who cared for their cars, and while he was in jail, he decided to open his own shop. He studied everything he could to make his dream a reality once released.
After running his business for approximately four years, he learned about the Pioneer Valley Business Accelerator program. He applied to gain knowledge on managing his business and take it to the next level. “I knew about detailing, but I didn’t know about business, accounting, or anything related to having a successful business,” he recalls.
As a child, Jose says he sat in the back of the classroom as a child, but during the EforAll accelerator, he was actively engaged by taking notes, asking questions, and striving to learn as much as possible. Presenting and pitching, something he disliked in the past, became his favorite aspect of the program. The support of his mentors, who had diverse experiences, was crucial in helping him understand what would make his business profitable and healthy.
Jose’s hard work is paying off. He was awarded a cash prize during the EforAll final presentation, which he used to increase his advertising budget. He has tripled his revenue since graduating from the program and even built a waiting area to accommodate his growing clientele. “EforAll changed my life. It taught me how to have a successful business with happy employees and customers.”
