Title: Executive Director, EforAll South Coast (New Bedford/Fall River, MA) (full-time)
Effective: As of July 7, 2015
Reports To: Executive Director, Entrepreneurship for All

EforAll is looking to hire a full-time Executive Director (ED) for its South Coast region effective immediately.  The person is the primary officer responsible for the day-to-day operations of EforAll in the South Coast, leading the region’s funding development efforts, directing the work of a professional staff, and serving as the primary spokesperson for the South Coast region. The South Coast ED will report to EforAll’s Executive Director and will also create a local Leadership Committee that will advise and assist the ED within the South Coast region.

 

The Executive Director will have a working knowledge of business, startups and be a leader and manager who is adept at balancing internal management with external impact and visibility. The individual must be an outstanding communicator who is able to convey effectively the mission and activities of EforAll to a variety of constituencies including the broader public.

 

Leadership

  • Serve as a leader to raise the profile of EforAll within the cities of Fall River and New Bedford and the greater South Coast region.
  • Given EforAll’s mission and goals, build and implement a process of continued innovation and excellence in all programs and efforts
  • Execute and guide programs that align with the organization’s vision.
  • Initiate and strengthen relationships and collaborations with organizations and leaders who are connected to the EforAll’s mission and purpose.

 

General Management, Finance and Administration and Program

  • Ensure by effective management and leadership that the day-to-day operations are professionally and efficiently organized and administered.
    • Lead the South Coast staff, including a Program Manager and any other employees, interns, mentors, and volunteers, ensuring that everyone involved understands the mission and goals of EforAll and their roles in achieving them.
    • Direct and evaluate communications strategies to ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, taking advantage of EforAll’s centralized marketing talent as appropriate.
    • Working within the guidelines and structures established by EforAll’s central finance office, oversee the South Coast organization’s financial operations including ensuring that sound financial controls and accounting procedures are in place, preparing the annual budget for board approval, and providing financial reports for board review and oversight.
    • Begin the recruitment process of funders from the South Coast region to provide financial support for EforAll, to be ready for EforAll South Coast to be sustainable when the State’s funding ends in three years.

 

Development

  • Develop and over time implement a comprehensive fundraising plan that includes major gifts from individuals, corporate sponsorships, grants, in-kind donations, memberships, an annual gala and other charitable events
  • Build a larger, sustainable base of individual donors
  • Manage and oversee EforAll South Coast’s annual gala and key fundraising events
  • Track proposals and reports for all grants, foundation and corporate fundraising
  • Manage and maintain the donor management system

Qualifications

  • MBA or M.A. in relevant field
  • Passionate about startups and entrepreneurship
  • Ability to work flexibly in a start-up, teamwork environment and take initiative as a self-starter
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with people from diverse personal and professional backgrounds
  • Access to a vehicle for travel to different sites (mileage outside commuting will be reimbursed)
  • Knowledge of and participation in the South Coast strongly preferred

Title: Marketing and Social Media Manager (HQ: Lowell, MA) (full-time)
Effective: As of July 7, 2015
Reports To: Executive Director, Entrepreneurship for All


EforAll is looking for a creative and energetic individual to manage all Internet-related marketing duties for  EforAll. Primary responsibilities include:

  • All content of EforAll.org, including press releases, news updates, interviews with various participants within the EforAll community (entrepreneurs, mentors, judges, partners, etc.)
  • Look & Feel of EforAll.org, following design guidelines, to make sure the site is vibrant and intuitive
  • Analysis and actions based upon Google Analytics data on web site usage
  • All emails, currently sent out via Constant Contact, to EforAll’s 5,000+ name email list
  • All programs to increase the number of emails, particularly names associated with any new regions EforAll launches
  • All social media communication, to be done frequently and at high quality, using at least Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, while always looking for new networks.
  • Blog posts on the EforAll.org web site and as appropriate at outside sites to publicize EforAll
  • Work closely with regional Executive Directors to coordinate social media and marketing outreach between organization and regional levels
  • Increasing the number and/or percentage of engaged followers on all EforAll’s social media platforms through continued outreach efforts
  • Creation and content for all of EforAll’s marketing materials, including posters, flyers, brochures, etc.
  • Reporting and photography at EforAll events

Characteristics/Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail and execution
  • Strong interpersonal skills working across diverse teams and organizations
  • Capable of working independently, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions on the fly
  • Photography/design experience/aptitude
  • Ability to work evenings
  • Car for driving to/from EforAll locations (Lowell/Lawrence, New Bedford/Fall River, Lynn expected)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Passionate about non-profits and improving people’s lives
  • Relevant work experience in marketing/public relations
  • Writing samples, preferably from non-academic sources. Note that some applicants will be asked to submit writing samples
  • Ability to work flexibly in a start-up, teamwork environment and take initiative as a self-starter
  • Relevant experience with social media platforms
  • Experience with WordPress, Constant Contact, and Photoshop preferred
  • Experience with graphic design and photography preferred
  • Work experience in mid-sized cities and/or non-profits preferred
